The hotel has an excellent location in the city of Miami by the Bayfront Park and Brickell area. Plenty of shopping and great restaurant locations near by. We simply walked everywhere, but the free Metromover system had a stop right outside the hotel. All of the staff we interacted with were so friendly and very attentive. The grounds were spotless for how busy it was. The Lobby smelled wonderful day and night. Our ocean view room had a great view of the cruise port. This is the city of Southern Miami so don't expect beach views. The bed was medium firm and very comfortable; the room was very clean and spacious. We ate at Torotoro and suggest the burger and the fish tacos. The pool area is small but situated roughly 5 stories above the street, which keeps it as quiet as possible, and the DJ there both days kept the vibes very relaxing. I absolutely suggest staying here.

Stayed here 1 night before leaving for a cruise. The service was wonderful from the concierge to the bell hops, friendly, efficient and kind! The lobby is beautiful and it's a vibe as soon as you walk in. Starbucks is present in the back of the lobby so that was so nice. This hotel sits on the water and you only have to walk a few minutes to get to the ferris wheel and area of shops and restaurants that sit right on the water. This location is perfect. The room was nice, bathroom large and spacious. The water pressure was low and the shower did not drain all that great but not deal a deal breaker. I would definitely stay hwre again.

We arrived and waited in the check-in line. I was at the front with only one couple behind me, yet the process took about 10 minutes because only two employees were working the desk at midnight. After checking in, we went to the hotel restaurant to eat while waiting for our bags. Good food and service. About 45 minutes later, we went to our room, but our bags had not been delivered as promised. The room also had a strong musty, smoke-like odor that my wife and daughter immediately noticed. To the hotel’s credit, they changed our room right away. Then this morning, my wife, slipped and fell in the lobby in front of a large crowd because of an unmarked puddle of water on the floor. Fortunately, she is fit and young enough to handle a fall. She is fine, other than being embarrassed, but had to spend part of her morning completing an incident report. The hotel is nice and well located near the cruise port but last time we stayed in town, it was the Hilton at Blue Lagoon and that was a better experience. Point, 5 stars in name only.

4.8 / 5 — Highly Recommend! Loved our stay at the InterContinental Miami! Our room was very large, comfortable, and sparkling clean. The breakfast was great with plenty of fresh choices, and the bay views were amazing. Right behind the hotel is a great promenade along the water where you can walk, relax, and chill out enjoying the breeze. Excellent service and prime location near Bayfront Park. Would definitely stay here again!
